It was all smiles as Kyebambe Girls School emerged as the Winner for the scratch programming competition at Mountains of the Moon in Fort Portal under the Google funded program called Computer Science for High School. Mpanga S.S was the first Runner up and Nyakasura School as the 2nd Runner up. We congratulate all the winners for having programmed such amazing apps.

Kyebambe Girls won after designing a "Viral Quiz game" that aimed at helping students learn even without the presence of a teacher, it was programmed to challenge the student with questions in form of quiz and the score was given in terms of Money. A student is further allowed to purchase some goodies in the game so as to reduce on the sores and encourage them to continue playing the game

The Certificate award ceremony was presided over by the Academic Registrar of Mountains of the University, Dr. Tom Kiiza who also handed over the awards to the schools that emerged as winners.
The AR repeatedly emphasized that in this generation the best students can ever learn is Computing stressing that he has been able to live a good life just because of his knowledge in computing. He thanked the workshop facilitators for being able to consider western Uganda in there program and encouraged them to take many more projects as the University is ready to collaborate with them. He advised the students to use the computers ethically and legally.
