2016 National Technovation Challenge for Girls at Secondary and University Level

The technovation challenge is one that gives opportunity to young ladies to come up with solutions for community challenges. These ideas/innovations can be from any field ranging from Health, Agriculture, Entrepreneurship, Education, ICT among others. All ideas are welcome. Girls are encouraged to work in teams of 3-5 to develop their ideas.
There is an opportunity for trainers who will be working with these girls to take them through the 12 week course, Coaches who in most cases are teachers at the schools or faculty members and mentors who act as role models to the girls and encourage them to carry on throughout the process.

This challenge is designed to engage students directly in coding, business plan development, pitching among others. It will help the student build on her skills, CV etc. It will also enhance their exposure as they work with other schools

For secondary schools, do note that the "Global challenge" registration is still open and you are encouraged to register for it so as to compete with other high schools globally

The challenge is spearheaded by Makerere University, School of Public Health and Resilient Africa Network (RAN).  For more details about this challenge feel free to write to sagaba@ranlab.org or visit the program website at technovationug.wordpress.com. Facebook Technovationug and Twitter page is @Technovationug

Please share the message with other schools and interested parties.
